EXTRA NECK SKIN

I can’t recall the last time I wrote something for enjoyment.  While I’m not sure why that is, I’m fairly certain that it’s not good.

Once in awhile, I look back over my bar reviews from Friday Night Bug Juice (give it a try, it’s not all shit).  My brother Tony and I tore it up every Friday night for at least ten years.  We put on a front and said our purpose was to get content for our website.  Bullshit.  We did it because it was fun.  Boozing, laughing and the danger that goes with hanging out at a bar until closing time.

I should feel bad about that.  Wasting money, dive bar riff-raff, driving impaired or worse.  I do feel bad.  But not for those reasons.  I feel bad because I cannot recall the last time Tony and I boozed it up at some neighborhood shithole.

I still see Tony almost every day, we work together.  We laugh and enjoy each other’s company.  I’m lucky to have a brother that is my best friend.  But I miss him dearly.  We need to get dirty again.

The questions are can we and will we?
